Exhibitions from 2005: Boothhouse Galley & Beyond!
I have been searching through my archive materials & photographs from before I regularly used a computer or had a website.
I have found a number of photographs of work that I exhibited at Jim Robison's "Boothhouse Gallery" in Holmfirth in 2005.
Some of the work had been exhibited earlier in the year in a small exhibition I had called "Out of the Trees". This to denote that I now worked full time in my Studio at Kirkburton.
Working from September through to mid December I produced a large body of work, mostly from my observations of trees and sky seen through the trees.
The exhibition was a success.
I was encouraged to continue and develop my work.... what you see below are examples of this work from the exhibition and from the following year exhibited at many other venues such as "buyDesign" Gallery etc.
All were sold at sometime but I have no idea to whom!

My work continued into 2006 & 2007 into Stormy Landscapes & Sky.... particularly influenced, of course, by the "Big Skies" of The Scottish Borders & of Northumberland.
In and amongst I began to exoperiment with the abstract work which eventually led me to the "Elements of Landscape" Series.
